New student ID card is to be requested when the current one is lost, damaged, or is of no further use for any other reason.
Time frame for the issuance of a new card is two (2) working days.

How to apply for a new Student ID Card:
Step 1: Submit/email the completed Student ID Card Replacement Form with the proof of payment to the Student Affairs Office (SAO)/sao@ius.edu.ba;
Step 2: Wait for the e-mail confirmation that your card is ready for collection;
Step 3: Collect your new Student ID Card from SAO.
Students must register courses for each semester during the periods determined by IUS.

It is a student’s responsibility to pursue his/her curriculum and reflect on his/her personal success before each course registration.
Check your Academic Advisor’s name via the Student Information System (SIS) and complete the registration with the assistance of your Advisor.
How to Register Courses:

Step 2: Log in to your Student Information System (SIS) account during the course registration period;
Step 3: Open the course registration window and select courses (with sections). If the preferred course does not appear, check the prerequisite/s;
Step 4: Send your selection to the Academic Advisor for approval;
Step 5: Follow up on the approval: visit or contact your Advisor if/when needed;
Step 6: If you do not find the preferred course in SIS, but the course in question is open in that semester (i.e. listed in the official course schedule), use the Course Registration Form (download here) in order to add that course with the assistance of the Student Affairs Office.
Step 7: Make sure your registration is finalized within the course registration deadlines.
Students can amend their official course registration (i.e. add/drop a course) during the periods determined by IUS (generally it takes place in the third week of the semester).

Step 1: Login to your Student Information System (SIS) account during the add/drop period;
Step 2: Open Course Registration window and make preferred amendments (add/drop a course);
Step 3: Send your request to your Academic Advisor for approval;
Step 4: Follow up on the approval: visit or contact your Advisor if/when needed;
Step 5: If you do not find the preferred course in SIS, but the course in question is open in that semester (i.e. listed in the official course schedule), use the Course Registration Form (download here) in order to add that course with the assistance of the Student Affairs Office.
Step 6: Make sure your registration is finalized within the add/drop deadlines.
Students can leave/withdraw a course after attending it for a particular period of time in a semester.

How to Withdraw a Course:
Step 1: Contact your Academic Advisor for the approval/signature on the Withdrawal Course Form;
Step 2: Submit/e-mail the completed form to the Student Affairs Office (SAO)/ sao@ius.edu.ba;
Step 3: Wait for e-mail confirmation from SAO;
Step 4: Follow up on the withdrawal (W) sign for the particular course in your transcript of grades.
Make-up exam registration is obligatory for students who wish to improve their passing grade of a course.
Automatic registration is done for students who failed their course/s. However, they must fulfill following conditions in order to sit for the exam:

Both groups of students are obliged to inform the lecturer on their attendance at least two (2) days before the make-up exam.
A student who misses regular examination due to extraordinary circumstances (such as illness, injury or other personal emergencies), may apply for make-up exam attaching supporting documentation (such as medical certificate issued by a qualified medical practitioner) within five (5) days after the missed examination.

Step 2: Wait for the confirmation e-mail regarding your request;
Step 3: Inform the course holder/lecturer on your attendance;

Step 3: Join the scheduled exam accordingly;
Step 4: Learn results via Student Information System (SIS).
Students applying for minor degree are advised to consult the Program Coordinator of the relevant program (where minor is to be pursued) before making the official application.
It is required to complete minimum five (5) core courses from the minor field either as elective courses or as additional courses to the curriculum of the major study program.

How to apply for Minor Degree:
Step 1: Submit/e-mail completed Application Form for Minor Degree to the Student and Career Center (SCC)/scc@ius.edu.ba ;
Step 2: Send the application at least 15 days before the start of classes in a semester;
Step 3: Send the application only if you are at the beginning of your third semester (having minimum 60 ECTS earned);
Step 4: Wait for the feedback on your application from SCC.
Graduation application serves as the basis for evaluating the academic records of a student/graduate. If a student:
she/he should apply for graduation without delay. The Student Affairs Office reviews student records upon the submission of the application.
A student is not eligible for degree conferral if any of the requirements are not satisfied (curriculum requirements, internship, etc.) and in case of any incomplete grades in the transcript. All financial obligations must be settled.
If your personal information has changed since the enrollment (such as your name or surname), you must submit the proof of change to the Student Affairs Office.
The application is not available online and it can be only personally submitted at IUS.
Steps towards Obtaining a Degree:
Step 1: Submit the required forms not before/as soon as your academic record (i.e. transcript) is complete, which means that you received all grades to your transcript;
Step 2: Submit completed Graduation Form, Form of Diploma Delivery and Statistical Form for Graduate SV50 to the Student Affairs Office (SAO). If you completed a minor degree, make sure that this is confirmed on your form as well;
Step 3: Failure to apply in a timely manner can delay degree conferral;
Step 4: Place the Survey Form of IUS Graduate to the suggestion box vacant in building A or B (at the entrance);
Step 5: Make sure you bring your Student ID Card to SAO, as well as the collected documentation from your student file;
Step 6: Wait for a confirmation e-mail from SAO about your Graduation Certificate. It takes up to 7 days to prepare this document.
Step 7: Wait for a confirmation e-mail from SAO about your Diploma and Diploma Supplement. It takes up to 3 months to prepare these documents.
Step 8: Get ready for the graduation ceremony! Visit SAO for details (renting caps and gowns, dates and plans) and register for it. The celebration usually occurs in June with the exact date being published in the academic calendar. Official degrees are not awarded on this day as the ceremony is for celebration purposes only.
In case an IUS diploma is lost, stolen, damaged, or is of no further use for any other reason, a replacement request can be submitted to the Student Affairs Office.
Duplicate diploma is an official document that can be used as the original diploma. It takes 8 to 10 weeks to prepare it.
How to apply for Duplicate Diploma:
